Every year, thanks to the Marco-Polo exchange program, students have the opportunity to study in one of Vatel Group’s 50 schools around the world. It is an unique opportunity for them to discover a new country, a new culture and to be able to perform an additional foreign language while continuing their studies.
For the 2020-2021 academic year, the French-speaking section of Vatel Switzerland has welcomed five students from different countries such as Mauritius, Madagascar and France.
Miantsa Raharisoa, student at Vatel Madagascar has chosen to do her second year of the Bachelor program at Vatel Switzerland. She shares her feelings with us: "I find the Marco-Polo program very valuable, I decided to join it because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and enhance my personal development. In addition, I wanted to live an intense and unique experience within a totally different country than mine. So as soon as I had the opportunity, I grabbed it. I have been to Switzerland in the past, and its warm hospitality and charming landscapes called me back. When I arrived, I felt like I was in a dream. First time I saw the snow, I had a thrill of emotion. I really enjoyed my Marco-Polo year at Vatel Switzerland! I have been fortunate to have been given many tasks and responsibilities, I have met amazing people and I have become more independent and responsible. "
As a result, the Marco-Polo program gives Vatel students more insight and enables them to acquire valuable skills for a future within International Hotel Industry. Vatel Group is proud to have the Marco Polo Program awarded Best Educational Innovation at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards in 2018.
