As per the forthcoming Federal Council measures announced on Wednesday April 14th 2021, since Monday April 19th 2021, in-school courses are finally allowed for all of our students. Despite numerous measures continuously taken at school, this decision was eagerly awaited by us all. As a result, to meet council sanitary expectations, Vatel Hotel provides its meeting rooms to permit our students to study under the best sanitary conditions.
At Vatel Switzerland, the health of our students has always been our main concern, therefore, we decided to sign a partnership with Etilab to organize tests on Campus for all of our students.
What do the students think?
Sophie Vadillo, first year student of the Bachelor Degree Program, shares her enthusiasm with us:
“It's really a relief for us to be finally at school.
The fact that we haven’t seen "regular life" at Vatel School was very stressful for us since the first intake, especially for the integration. Getting lessons from teachers we have never met before was unusual. We are happy to hear that courses are back to normal even though the Academic Semester is almost over. The most challenging part is to get use to face-to-face in-school courses. In any cases, having lessons at school is always better to stay focused".
What about the teachers?
Michael Tshiyoyo, Teacher at Vatel Switzerland since 2018, shares his feelings with us:
“This is excellent news, the Federal Council has finally heard the distress of the students!
The return of face-to-face classes is very important for a school like ours, as the contact and the awareness are crucial for our job. Students need to have that strength and energy that happens especially when classes are face-to-face.
As a teacher, the biggest challenge has been having to quickly provide the same quality of online courses as face-to-face classes. While taking into consideration the prospective difficulties that the students may have encountered during these long months of online courses”.
May this current academic year end under the same omen!
